iNaturalist uses geography for context when searching for matches. If it’s an uncommon cultivated plant outside of the natural range, iNat is less likely to identify it correctly.

How does it smell?
Anyone knows how/where to buy Ixia viridiflora in California? Amazon, Ebay, Facebook Marketplace don’t have a single hit.
We call this ixia “duck egg” on account of its colour, in Australia.
Grows from bulbs.
