Heyyy lovelies, in this weeks vlog I am bring you with me over the last week. We are adding things to the garden, visiting my Dads in the Cambridgeshire Fenlands. I am bringing you shopping with me and we are planting again.
Thank you for all of your name suggestions for our new Fatsia Japonica and now I need two more names for the Cordylines 🙂
If you are in the UK and are interested in tropical gardening then I fully recommend you check out
@GeorgesJungleGarden
and @tikitropicals
I have watched just a few of their videos so far – but I am so fully invested and obsessed with the idea of introducing more tropical plants in to the garden.

I hope you enjoy the vlog 🙂

  4. Did you see Gardeners World Friday before last? They featured an amazing tropical garden with ponds in Northampton. Worth a watch. Amazing what you can achieve in a back garden. 😊

  5. oh wow, I'm paying almost $20 for trash bags! OH those plants! sighs The biggest regret of my life is being allergic to most everything outside. 🙁 What a wonderful video daer!

  6. Hi Claire happy easter we don't buy easter eggs, we did when the kids were younger but not now , plants look beautiful thanks for sharing ❤❤❤ xxx

  7. Your prices are insane! Mostly in a good way, for you. I went shopping a few says ago: 1 kg potatoes £3, 500 g tomatoes £2, 1 kg carrots and one cucumber £1:50 each… I skipped the lamb (£20/kg) as we rarely eat it anyway. The roll of kitchen film though were 80 p and the bin bags about £1. Your plats were also so much cheaper, I looked at a similar sized rosemary for £6 and the plainest possible geranium cost £8.
For some reason I got the names Fanny and Danny in my head for the new plats.

  8. Happy Easter!! So glad you’re getting sleep!! 🥰 The price of your vegetables is insane, we pay at least 20 times that… A bag of yellow potatoes is almost $5… carrots $4…. It’s crazy!!! They’re bigger bags, but not that much bigger!!! Kerrygold anything is amazing!!! How lucky is your mum… I rarely get it, it’s so expensive… $5 a half pound, twice the price of regular… Love the new plants!! Good job dad!! Very proud of you for the new road driving, totally the same…

  9. The garden is coming along! I am not a garden person, I have a brown thumb..LOL. It so fun to imagine a garden paradise and have someone do it for you. But then the upkeep….Happy Easter!

  10. Hoppy Easter Claire. I don't know why but the moment I saw the two new plants your Dad got for you ,I thought Leslie and Liam. 😂 Didn't even know you were looking for names. Love watching your videos. Have a blessed day. ❤❤

  11. Claire how about Aveline for 1 of the Cordylines. Not sure about your garlic but wild garlic is toxic to dogs best get rid don't want anything happening to wee Georgie. 🐶🐶🐶 Edited to add "The Suburban Gardenista" has a video on youtube on getting rid of Garlic Mustard.

  12. Happy Easter to you and the family. I wonder what George makes of you using the shovel to dig holes… He's probably like – I get into trouble Mummy, if I dig a hole and there you are digging holes everywhere. 😂

  13. You need to dig out the bulbs of the wild garlic , putting a weed membrane down helps, improving the soil, hoeing can help . Puttting dish soap or baking soda down with amend the ph of the soil which may help eradicate it 😊

  14. Im thinking coraline and cordelia for the plants.
I love the other plants your dad got you.. stunning!!!!! 💜

  15. Clair the pot you looked at couldn't you do that with eco pour and use silicone leaf inlays on the side of the mold then pour the eco

  16. Do you think that the chemicals in making the Emma causes the aches and pains. The reason why I say this is that I used a foam knee support and this caused me a lot of aches and pains, felt I was being poisoned

  17. Miss Claire just a little tip from an old woman in America. Get some wool dryer balls toss them in your dryer with your line dried items you want softened turn them on for about 10 minutes they should be good to go.

  18. Don't sell your kidneys for a tropical garden! Sell part of your liver as it will grow back, lol.
    Veronica looks gorgeous!
