I was given a spider plant a while back, and it was some sort of crazy mess of babies attached to babies attached to babies. As you can imagine, that was one messy pot.
Anyway, this one decided to detach from the main plant today (as its branch attaching it to the main plant seemed to have died off). The trouble is, its close-knit arrangement with its family seems to have resulted in it growing… upside down? Twisted round itself? I'm not sure, see the photos. I've taken two photos of the bottom of the plant, one for each side of the plant. It never rooted, so it always kind of just hung there. Naturally it has its own babies.
I was hoping for some advice on how to plant this? I'm really not sure where to start!
Thanks š

Stick it in water- wait for the roots to get 1inch long- put it in soil at that point
I think it was just growing right at the edge of the pot and hanging off. So it was upside down from how its shown in the photo. Get a small planter, like 4″, and plant it right at the edge. The lip of the container should be between the roots and the stem where its folded over.
Literally stick it in a pot with compost and water.
These are not fussy.
It will grow.
You may want to remove some of the lower leaves near the roots first to make it easier to pot.
