Needs more info.ppl with a history of kidney stones ,kidney disease or high uric acid levels should not consume this plant .And of course be cautious if pregnant and lactating.
Verdolagas.. deliciosas con carne🤤🤤🤤
This plant is high in calcium oxalate and oxalate acid, which is unsuitable for people with uric acid in kidney stones.
It's sour. Not a fan.
This short video did NOT show the only Purslane I've heard is edible, Common Purslane . . . which has much smaller, yellow, flowers than those shown. . . .
"Portulaca oleracea (common purslane, also known as little hogweed, or pursley) is a succulent plant in the family Portulacaceae.
"Due to the great variability, a large number of subspecies and varieties have been described as species of their own, but according to other publications, they all fall within the range of variation of P. oleracea.
"The synonyms P. oleracea subsp. sativa, P. sativa, and P. oleracea var. sativa, which are more common in the literature, refer to a somewhat more robust form in cultivation with larger seeds that cannot be separated from the species.
"Approximately 40 cultivars of P. oleracea are currently grown. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portulaca_oleracea
I've never seen that weed produce flowers
Yummy and makes smoothies really creamy and favorful❤
it’s loaded with vitamin E
My friend eats it.
😮Thanks
Thank u😊
I don’t believe those are the same plant, those are NOT a tiny flowers! The flowers you are showing look like nursery plants, probably genetically bred to produce beautiful flowers, and not the same as the weeds.
If this is verdolagas, its a feast!. Sautee chopped tomatoes & onions with a little oil, then throw in the clean verdolagas, salt & pepper, & thats it! My mother in law used to cook them for me 🥲
I have never seen that thing flower 😂
Its DRLISH !! We eat it every year… we also dehydrate for smoothies and add to juices…
