Best just to leave him, he’s probably ok. I have a frog/ toad in my garden that I see now and again, been seeing them over 20 years so not the original frog/ toad obviously. They need foliage to hide under and water I would think.
I think that’s an escaped pet, hard to tell but looks a bit like an exotic or dart frog.

Leave some bits of the lawn wild so he has somewhere to hide

Lucky you! I finished building a pond a couple of months ago and I’m desperate for frogs to find it.
You could create a small pond for them? Even just a washing up bowl dug into the ground and filled with rain water, smooth pebbles/rocks, a little ramp (could be a small log) and a couple of plants will help.

It’s in your garden because it likes it there, if you don’t have water it’s probably a toad. You can make a toad paradise if you want to encourage more by providing a little pond (you can even make one from a washing up bowl) and letting things grow a bit wild. They like upturned pots and cool shady areas to hide under.

I have a few that regularly hang out in an area of longer grass on my lawn. No pond in the garden but they seem happy. Always really careful mowing there now, since the um, “incident”.

I love frogs and toads, give them a small shallow bowl of water with some flat stones sticking out, they will stay and eat all the slugs, so win win.

If he becomes a nuisance you could get him toad.

>Does anyone know what he might need
A plate of crumpets and some Bakewell Tarts.
Mow blow and go
You could look into putting a wildlife pond in, it’s a great sign that he’s here already, I would be super excited! Pond doesn’t have to be massive but do make sure its deep enough. Guidance from The Wildlife Trust [here](https://www.wildlifetrusts.org/actions/how-build-pond#:~:text=Place%20stones%2C%20logs%20and%20plants,have%20an%20easy%20way%20out.)
