I bet you’ve seen all those viral videos showing you how to regrow your grocery store scraps.
Some of them are great, but this isn’t the best (or even the cheapest!) way to grow all of these veggies. ❌
If you wanna grow all of these and more successfully this year, go to gardenary.com to get started with me this week!
I made you a 7 day plan that teaches you the tips, tricks, and key lessons you *actually* should know to grow your own food. You only need 4 minutes a day and I promise you’ll learn so much more than those reels about sticking all your veggie scraps in water.

Nicole, please do a video on growing garlic & sweet potatoes from scraps! 🙏
Thank u this actually useful
Which ones you think are worth it or not.
Celery can be worth it if you don’t eat tonnes, just want a bit once a week. However doesn’t work for me, by week 2, the wallabies have hopped onto my porch and eaten it all
Celery and pack choy worth it from my experience
Celery regrown from the grocery store SO worth it!
Actually lettuce is a cut and come again crop, you cut what you want to eat and it will keep growing more leaves…
I grow carrot ends for their gorgeous flowers the following season. Imagine a burgundy Queen Anne’s Lace. Plus they are a good pollinator and you will have seeds as well.
I regrow onions, garlic, potatoes and sweet potatoes. I tried ginger without success.
I have been on my starting gardening research for about 4 months now and I'm so happy to see this video. From what I've learned i had the same idea about most of these, let's me know I'm on the right track! Thanks 😊
Do ginger as a houseplant
Treat ginger roots like a cactus. Fast draining soil and water after it has dried out and stays dry for several days. 🤷🏼♂️
Planting garlic from grocery stores can cause garlic rot, can distroy your crops. Bad idea
Most garlic is sprayed with a sprout inhibitor. Buy the cloves meant for gardening.
i have 4 avocado trees growing from seed from my store and i believe it worth it i you like to wait a few years lol
Well carrots only grow the green tops for seed production not the actual root anyway 😂
Girl don't knock lettuce!! It's so easy to re-grow and they deposit like a thousand seeds in your garden. I love getting the butter lettuce that still has the roots from Walmart
Do the store bought soils contain heavy metals?
Carrots are worth it if you want seeds from them
beats are worth it, the greens can basically be eaten like spinach
Please Be careful regrowing potatoes from shop bought. As easy as it is and i see everyone do it, they will not have the same disease resistance as if you buy seed potatoes variety's specifically for your areas climate. Trust me, you dont want a whole crop to get hit with blight just because you wanted to save a few bucks.
You cannot possibly grow garlic from the grocery store
If you're concerned about GMO's, pesticides, and E. Coli, definitely worth it to home grow all your veggies.
I didn’t know 😅you could grow avocado just like that?
Misinformation!!!
