  1. The dandelion hunt was so sweet to watch. It’s wonderful how your children are invited to participate in your gardening. It will, no doubt, instill in them fond memories and a love of nature. I also loved that Russell showed up to checkout your progress.❤

  2. LAURAAAA please see this! This summer make the same ice cream custard, but replace the dandelion with leaves from your Anise Hyssop! Serve it wirh your fresh peaches. You will love it! 💜💜💜

  3. Ahhhh that is the sweetest thing ever to watch Samantha and Benjamin with their little baskets.

  4. Thanks for telling us how long it took to compost the onions. I’m always wondering how long each task tastes.

  5. This is just soooo wholesome ❤
Reminds me of my childhood spending hours and hours outside learning and enjoying life, it large safe wide open spaces what every luck littles you have ❤❤
Perhaps a garden answer beehive is needed 🐝🍯

  6. So, try steeping a half cup or so of your mint leaves in the milk instead of the dandelions and add the honey as you did with the dandelions and just do the recipe the same…. for Honey mint ice cream….. try roses petals too,,, Rose ice cream is very good and only has a slight rose flavor….. I did all these experimints in culinary school…. even tried lemongrass…..

  7. Watching you out with the kids, teaching them about nature, let us see how people were all educated about 150 years ago. It's really been only recently that kids have been removed from nature, and we are reaping those poor results. Congratulations on teaching your young ones the best way! (I'm a HS science teacher, btw.)

  8. I always love when you till such hard ground. Amazing what you grow Laura! That’s not an easy thing! How satisfying to see the onions 🧅 go in their spots and when you put the mulch around them, it’s like queue the angels! The kids are absolutely precious. Dandelions have so many healing properties and I think it’s a smart thing to try with what you had! Dandelion ice-cream, who knew? Even if you don’t make it again, you created a lovely memory with the kiddos and family. Thank you so much for sharing. ❤️🙏 have a Happy and Blessed Easter.

  9. Love watching everyday! I have been afraid to try dandelion anything. Lol. But since your res buds have started blooming, I highly recommend red bud jelly! This was my first year making it and will not be the last. All of my family loved it!

  10. Laura, I think if you didn't know what it was and you tasted it, you might not feel that way! Sometimes the mind is over taste…

  11. Train up those kids revering their Grands. Benjamin had his hand out for the 1st cone. Nana should have gotten that! Anyway, just an observation. They are so sweet but that's one to learn still obviously.

  12. Nice experiment! I. Western PA as a child, we didn’t pick dandelions because it was said you would Pee your pants!

  13. Love watching your videos. It’s so relaxing. Just curious…where is Cheddar. I hope he is well. Thank you for sharing. Your children are so cute and so well behaved. Have a great day.

  14. What would you do without your sweet helpers?💙🩷 I like the Vidalia onion, but I believe it is only grown only in Georgia! It is a sweet onion. Your new garden for your onions, potatoes, corn and sunflowers will be pretty and productive! The only way I can have sun flowers is to fence them in otherwise bunnies eat them! Your ice cream was interesting. But like you I'll passon the recipe. I too love ice cream!🍦 Looking forward to seeing this garden grow!💚

  15. Humm I think I’d pass on the ice cream but I’m looking forward to a recipe for onion rings this fall…just saying. 😜😃

  16. How fun having the kids help you pick dandelions never thought you could make vegan honey out of it or ice cream. I stopped buying Carmel that is the worse for adding additives. FYI: I have the JUKA app and I check the barcode on everything I buy and you’ll be amazed the high risk additives in our food. Please be aware.

  17. Absolutely adored this video!! The kids out hunting and then helping with the whole process but really enjoyed the thoughtfulness of bringing to share with the family! Loved this one so much!

  18. Why would anyone try dandelions to eat , n the first place, I guess u never know what the lord planned for them. Glad u and family enjoyed your day ❤️🌸🐰

  19. This one on one with your kids is invaluable and what an incredible gift to give them and yourself on such a beautiful day. Your children are amazing and you and Aaron have done such an incredible job at just being present. You are an inspiration to us, gardeners and parents. Love your content and the two of you. You and Aaron will never know what you have given to us viewers in so many ways.

  20. Hi Laura! Loved your courage to try dandelion ice cream! lol….how about making some Lavender ice cream? I have had it before and it’s delicious 🌷🌸🌺🌷🌸🌺🌷🌸

  21. 19:44 I prefer planting in blocks, but with your drip tape having a shut-off, I thought you might keep the different crops on a specific line of drip tape. Or are these all crops you expect to have the same water needs?
