I put my monstera thai constellation in an open cardboard box to move house about a month ago and unfortunately the edge of the box severed off the most beautiful leaf on the plant. I'm left with a long stem that looks awkward and a beautiful separate leaf. I have two questions: 1. Should I trim back the stem to its base? 2. I've had the leaf sitting in a glass of water for a month (have been changing water regularly) in the hopes that I would be able to propagate it. No sign of roots yet, and not sure if it's possible. Advice on these two points would be much appreciated!
