I got this baby cakes black berry plant from Lowe's. I'm wanting it to be more bushy, is there a way to do that or will it be more branchy like it is now? I'm fine either way, just want to know what I can do to help it be more small and not so opened out

Stake it and bunch up the canes on the stake. You can also prune off the top 1/3rd of the primocanes and they will side branch and produce berries on those side branches next year. It’s worth the time to study blackberry pruning techniques as it is a little complex if you’ve never done it before. There are a lot of videos on youtube.
