My leaves are slowly yellowing, I had a whole basil plant lose it's colour it seemed. I took a piece of tape and trapped the potential culprits and got some pics under a microscope. The bug is approx half a millimeter in length.
Currently the affected plants are propagation cuttings in water on a windowsill in full indirect light, I am really worried this will spread to my plant shelf where all my other plants live.

Ok, so, this might just be my own experiences setting off the alarm for the wrong thing, but that kind of maybe looks like a mite to me? In which case, I’m having flashbacks to my spider mite issue I had a while back.
Is the yellowing appearing in patterns of tiny dots? Do you see any signs of what looks like spider webbing that’s got some of these things crawling on them? If yes, then that’s for sure what what you’re dealing with, and you’re going to want to isolate all of the affected plants that you can find before you start treatment.
Mites, ot Trips, hoping mites
Looks like some sort of mite if it is indeed associated with the damage to your plant. The damage is consistent with what you may see from mite damage. If the mite isn’t related to the damage, I believe the next likely culprit would be fungus.
