I’m trying my hand at being a plant mom again. This giant aloe was very healthy when I first got it. I waited a couple days to water it (I know to stick my finger in about an inch and it was dry). Made sure to not overwater it as well. I also sprayed the leaves a bit. It’s a little cold in my apartment and there may be a draft coming in so I moved it away from the window but still wasn’t seeing improvement. Now 2 or 3 of the leaves are kind of browning in the middle and have this bumpy texture. HELP pls.

yeh the finger needs to go deeper, you’re still overwatering. these babys like to dry out almost completely between waterings
I would switch to soil that is grittier and drains better. You can use the same size terracotta pot.
Make sure to water thoroughly enough to drain out of the bottom once the soil is completely dry and the leaves feel less firm. Water it in the sink so the excess doesn’t sit at the bottom.
Give it as much light as possible, but acclimate it if it has been in relatively low light.
Don’t mist the leaves. There is no need to do that for succulents especially, but it’s really not beneficial for most plants and usually leads to problems.
Get it out of that pot-within-a-pot. Repot in a clay pot if you can. Stop spraying it, aloes don’t like that. Water thoroughly and rarely. I think the last I watered my giant aloe was November. (I water more often in summer when it gets more sun)
Put it in bigger pot and let it dry completely before watering that’s what I would do anyways
Water once a month!
You’ll get there!!
