My ponytail palm was thriving and then I repotted it and moved it outside now that the warmer weather is here and it isn’t doing well. Watered good amount during repotting (3 weeks ago) and no water since. Gets strong sun outside.

It needed time to adjust from being inside to getting direct sun. Put it in the shade right away. Move it into the sun over the course of a couple weeks.

Mine seems happiest in a pot that’s the same size as the roots & struggles when the pot is much larger than the root ball.

Your pot looks pretty big for the plant & makes it more prone to root rot. I use a pretty inorganic soil for mine or mix in a ton of perlite.

You should definitely give her a lil haircut. It’ll make it look more full & take some weight off those long leaves

What was the sun like before you moved it outside? They’re pretty resistant, but in general whenever you repot you should try not to change conditions, it can shock them. Top leaves dying are usually from too much sun and/or too little water

Other reasons can be nutritional or pest/disease, but it’s probably not this.

It’s in way too large of a pot. I’d let the soil completely dry out and then put the plant in pot just an inch or two wider than the caudex. Use a chunky well draining soil and a terracotta pot. Good luck. Hope it rebounds for you.
