LOVE my hori hori knife – gardening just wouldn’t be the same without it!
The perfect multi-purpose tool, I use it for planting bulbs, digging up weeds in lawns and borders (it’s GREAT for chasing bindweed roots), for planting, making seed drills, open bags of compost etc etc etc The holster is essential to keep the blade safe, but also to strap on to your belt so it’s always close to hand, then (hopefully!) you won’t lose it in your borders.
I can’t believe I didn’t know this amazing Japanese tool even existed until about three years ago – it’s now my desert island gardening tool (but hopefully it’ll never come to that!) Mine’s from niwaki and I’ll ever be grateful to them for introducing it to me. Have you got one yet?
