They stopped recycling in our area. A lot of the recycling is actually just going to landfills or being incinerated. If you start collecting some, they add up quickly and you can repurpose them. I like growing plants in mine. What do you do with yours?

  1. This obviously an awesome resuse. I have a serious question, however, regarder microplastics and psa's. Recent reports have blamed these types of take out containers for microplastics entering our bodies. There has also been mention of it happening with you reheat food in the microwave. I am wondering if this happens as well with these containers over time, and how long, many times can they be reused?

  2. Looks awesome, I just have one question: does sediment build up in the jugs? If so should we leave it?

  3. Having used milk jug planters in gardening, be aware that if out in the sun, they rapidly get brittle and start crumbling apart. They last a season or two.

  4. Thank you for showing this , anyone with a balcony facing south can grow micro greens, and veggies and those cheap metal shelf’s from Temu . Very helpful and smart. Thank you

  5. BRILLIANT! AND BEAUTIFUL!!!!

I have bear, deer, raccoon, porcupine, squirrel, mice, voles, and who-knows-what-else! I’ll try it and see what I can do to keep the critters from making their own salads! HEY! Maybe I can make a 2”x12”x6’ wooden scaffolding with rope and pulleys attached to the roof so that I can raise the plants high enough that the critters and bears can’t get them?
Why, I otter starta yooboob channel meself!

  6. I’ve started washing out any small plastic container to reuse for planting and I have to say… THEY DO ADD UP! It’s so much plastic we throw away it’s crazy when you stop to clean and wash them all… good job showing this on this video thank you 👏👏💫🌱

  7. when you stack an inverted container on top of the other while germinating, doesn't it blow off quite easily in the breeze outside?

  8. I could never collect that amount of plastic trays. What are you buying that comes in containers like that? In my country only microwave meals or takeout food come in plastic containers.

  9. This is a decent idea for inexpensive growing containers but what about microplastics? Isn't this part of the issue of how microplastics are getting into our bodies through our food?
