I got a free cutting from Carnivero and I have no idea what it is. It started growing roots and a pink thing at the node.

    Not positive what it is, but I think you could probably get away with planting it in soil. Even if you decide to wait longer, it looks like the pink thing is submerged under water. If that is the case pour some water out or it will start rotting. Only the roots need access to the water you have it in.

    I think it’s a leaf? I’ve had a philodendron cutting do that. It was a tiny leaf and I kept it submerged in the water since the roots would’ve been out of the water if I poured it out. It thankfully didn’t rot either.

    I would personally wait a little longer for more roots, but someone with more experience might disagree. I’ve had a 3 out of 3 success planting my props. So, not that many.
