Today I am sharing the trick I use to get blooms on my Bamboos. Yep, it includes Sweet Peas! It’s easy and so rewarding. Plus, I’m sharing a clip on dividing bamboo that has gotten too big for its pot!

Hi, I am Pamela and I garden in the mountains of Northern California. I am in Zone 8b. I defy convention and break many garden ‘rules’ yet my garden is a tapestry of color and unruly beauty! I want you to be inspired to create a beautiful garden that you love.

  1. Oh Pam, you are saving me again! I live on a rural lot and my next door neighbor passed away a couple of years ago and her young married great grand son inherited the property. They are tearing all the greenery out on their side with the exception of a couple off trees. I need to plant along an ugly fence line that they said would have a privacy fence. Nothing has gone up and I am tired of waiting. I reached out to someone on FB Marketplace down the road from me. She has a wall across her property of bambo[. She doesn't remember what kind it is but it doesn't seem to run . She bought it 15 years ago. I plan to put mine in big containers for blockage. Mine will not get full sun but some morning then afternoon at the the top during the afternoon. Thank you for this video, perfect timing!!!!

  2. nice bamboo. nice when you can divide and make more plants. thanks for sharing. when the seeds come up it's going to be really pretty in with the bamboo.

  3. I have been wanting to get bamboo for some time. I need a clumping kind and to be able to put it in a container. Did you say it doesn't have to be a clumping kind?

  4. Flowering bamboo! At first we thought it was an April Fool's joke! But this is brilliant! Thanks!!

  5. It's nice to see you sitting outside in the sun! The bamboo is so pretty and so smart to grow it in pots. I truly LOVE the look of it. (Thinking to myself how I can make room in my garden for this) That is so crazy how tough those roots are!!! 🤩🤩🤩 Liz
