Is that a Bismarck palm behind you in the first few minutes of your video? I have a friend that planted one in his garden along a path which looks great. Thinking of planting one myself in an area behind a clearing but there are other younger queen palms nearby. I’m sure they’ll look great together for a few year but do they play well together over 20 to 30 years in the future? Will they make for good neighbors or will one try to out compete the other and take too much nutritionist from the soil to adversely affect the less competitive neighboring trees?
Thank you.
Good tips, I'm guilty of overly pruning. Comparing pruning cuts to open wounds is a great tip.
Fertilizing palms makes such a big difference
I loved the tip on landscaping fabric and mulch.
Hi, I recently came across your channel, and boy am I glad, I love all your landscaping. I live in Puerto Rico, so our issues and climate is similar. My issue is that my backdrop is the ocean, and salty air, what plants can I put that won't be harmed with salty air and wind.
J’adore vos vidéos sur YouTube, pouvez-vous me donner votre avis sur mon jardin 🪴
I was going to try epson salt on my unhealthy palm, but I’ll use what you use instead. Thanks for the tip.
Another great video. Thank you. PS The last 2 videos, the volume has been very low.
true gardener, Jennifer, you always provide such a wealth of knowledge with every
video. I learn something every time you post !!

This is fantastic! We just did our mulch throughout our entire landscape. Love these. Thanks for all the tips! ❤
I live in south Texas. My issue is everything I plant spreads like wild fire. Palms, plants, etc. Is there a way to stop this?
This woman is the truth! I’m not even into gardening but out of necessity to figure out my palm tree issues I started watching Jennifer! I don’t even watch any other channel to figure out my tropical plant problems. I even put my wife onto her and @TrueGardener is the Palm 🐐 🐐 🐐
Wonderful information as always! True gardener 😊
I love Bromeliads ( have several kinds)and I see you have some large ones in big pots, as do I. How do you keep them from overflowing out of pot. How to maintain the original look when potted? – Lake Wales, Florida
Someone told my husband to put Epsom salt around our avocados trees and now they look like they are dying! How to save them?
Greetings Jen, can you do a video on how you practically apply fertilizer to plants and especially palms
@True Gardener ~ We are practically neighbors since I live in Sebastian. (Howdy Neighbor – lol)
I have been enjoying your channel since I found it 2 weeks ago. It is very helpful to learn from someone who lives & understands our area. I did check your company website & really wish I could afford your services because I am struggling to figure out how to design the front of my house. I'm disabled so that significantly interferes with the labor required to set it up, maintain it & afford the required items. I will keep watching your videos to learn & enjoy your garden.
Have you ever had any landscaping projects in Southern California?
Hi Jennifer,
I love all of your videos.
I have always told my husband that if we ever hit the lottery, I am hiring a gardener! Lol.
My husband and I are planting some areca palms, two coconut palms, and a double Foxtail Palm along our back fence line. There is a public library behind our house and the city, unfortunately, does not maintain behind our fence very well as far as weeds, etc. Can you recommend a way to possibly help keep the weeds from growing under the fence on their side over to our side where we will be plant planting our new garden bed?
Hi Jennifer, great video as always. Have learned so much from watching your channel thank you! I live in Jupiter Farms and was hoping you can do a video on soil health. How to test for deficiencies and how to fix? Something along those lines. I have an area we cleared last summer and brought in a bunch of fill. Planted some coconuts and a Bismark. The coconuts are hanging in but the Bismark didn’t make it. My coconuts are yellowing so not sure if it is overwatering as you mentioned in your video or a soil deficiency. Thanks so much!!!
Hi, Jennifer and Bryce! I have a couple of dogs who absolutely love the smell/taste of Plant Tone fertilizer. So much so that I’m not sure if the plants get any benefit from feeding. In this case, would a water soluble feeding work as well? Or, could the granular be mixed with water and applied without harming the plants?
It broke my heart to see your Red Cloak trimmings go in the garbage. I haven’t found Red Cloak for sale in my area – though I have seen it growing in some yards. I would have loved those cuttings!
Wonderful tips Jennifer! You're garden is an inspiration! Love the new walkway feature to the coconut palm!
Nice video. Have you seen invitation of mini chainsaw via email today?
When is your book coming out?
I love that you don’t use weed fabric under plants!❤️🔥
❤ your content and appreciate you sharing what time during the year to fertilize my palms.
I thought it was bad to water when plants are in direct sun.
Great video! I wanted to mention that Queen Palms get a condition called Frizzle Top if they have a manganese deficiency. I don’t think it is commonly known. The company that fertilizes my lawn and my arborist didn’t know. I learned from google imaging it. I gave them manganese and they were beautiful again. Might make a good future video for you.
Hi Jennifer,
Love all your videos and I am a huge fan of your work. Would you kindly do a video of irrigation system for a tropical garden?
Thank you
True gardener! Thank you
