Since saving this little girl, I’ve become an AV enthusiast for sure, Always kept plants & garden alive for over 50years! A passion really but space & age got me! In comes this little girl first then immediately chasing after 9 new varieties!
From small easy plants that are very rewarding for me to love.
I owe it all to this little one !
1️⃣ pic after I found it buried in dust
after a few days & still getting dust off, removing the black leaves (were still growing strange)
2️⃣ weeks later it started growing leaves!
I knew it wanted live, but in reality it was what brought me back to life! Kids are out n about , my new passion!
Oh! Why is she so fuzzy or is it a he???
Seriously I haven’t seen such fuzzy leaves it’s not dusty anymore & the new growth looks fuzzy too!

Oh yay!! Great job, that’s a lot of growth for just a week!
So glad to see you came back with an update <3 Hope all is well. It looks to me like the crown may be putting out suckers (spontaneous crowns) which typically form when the main crown has died or when the plant is under stress. It’s like a last-ditch effort to save itself, and it works if you know what it’s doing. Keep taking care of the plant as normal and let the suckers grow. If they are indeed suckers, you will see a new distinct crown/rosette. It will look like a conjoined plant. If that’s the case, when the pup/sucker is large enough, you can cleanly remove it from the old crown, pot it up, and bag it for a month. It will put out new roots very quickly.
Honestly, the extra furryness is usually a sign of mites. Most of them are not visible to the naked eye. I hope that is not the case but I’d keep this away from my other plants until you are sure.
