I enjoy getting my hands in the dirt. I am learning as I go… doing experiments, seed saving, DIY's with stuff I have around the homestead. There is a learning curb when you have almost NO money to spend on your gardening NEEDs/wants, like gardening tools, sometimes a stick will have to work, out a large kitchen spoon, old plastic cups, jugs; milk and water. Free things you find. Pallets old boards, scrap metals, plastic piping, ripped up tarp. Use what you have…
I have bunnies, to make fertilizer to grow in. The idea was we would also raise them to eat, but it really has not worked that way but… rabbits make great planting medium. Inhave grown tomato plants in straight aged rabbit poop
It would be useful if garden videos would immediately state their zone before they begin recommending anything. I’ve watched so many that excitedly tell us “It’s time to plant this or that” only to find 28 minutes into the video that they are in Texas or Florida. 🙄
