Hi! I am new to air plants. I purchased these online and some of them have brown bottoms. I give them a short soak yesterday when I received them and they still look the same today. One of them bottom is almost black (pic 4). They don't feel mushy or soft to me. Do they look healthy or did I receive bad air plants? Does anyone know the names of these?

I appreciate any tips and feedback. Thanks!

Most airplants have a brown bottom. The 4th pic you mention would be the only worrying one. Could be normal coloring, it’s just a bit hard to say from the pic. If it’s not mushy and the leaves don’t come apart if you gently pull on them, then all is good. I would personally remove the 2 first older dead leaves around the root nob, to see if it’s white around it (look at pic 3 for reference) or black, which would be a clear sign of rot.
The rest looks like they have normal colors.
