I got this plant from my mum’s after she passed away last year and over the past six months since I’ve had it the tips of the leaves have started to brown. It seemed to be thriving at my mum’s and I don’t think I’ve changed much in terms of the amount of watering and sunlight it gets, so I’m unsure what the problem could be. The radiator that’s behind it in the photos is rarely on and the plant was in a different location before the leaves started to brown, so I don’t think that’s the problem. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Firstly, my condolences to you.
Typically the thinner the leaves the more sensitive to fluctuations in humidity and water. However, when the tips are the only thing browning that usually means the watering is inconsistent rather than a humidity issue. With this plant in particular I wouldn’t let it dry out more than 50%.
Best wishes to you!
Calatheas are sensitive to water quality, and when they get brown tips like this it can be a reaction to minerals and contaminants found in tap water. They tend to do best when watered with distilled water.
Beautiful plant! Sorry for your loss
