My son picked these out these 2 everbearing strawberries from a local nursery. We've had them inside in front of a south facing window since they came home. I water them when the first 1/2" or so is dry, or sometimes a little later when the leaves have drooped a bit because I'm forgetful.
I assume this is a pest. What is it, how do I get rid of them, and will our strawberries still be safe to eat once I treat the plants appropriately? Thanks!

Looks like spider mites
Can you wash them under a shower attachment and then can you plant them out as spider mites hate moist conditions so moisture is helpful in eradicating them. Some people have to use topical treatments but you can get away with constant vigilant washing off and spritzing.
I wonder if this works with a space… hahaha sorry if it doesn’t! !spider mites
