I've had this plant about 2 years. It recently fell and got damaged and lost a bunch of leaves. In addition, I came to realize it has multiple crowns, but they are growing on top of each other. So how do I separate these? From what I can tell it has the original plant, plus 2 new crowns. I planned to wait until it was done flowering (I think that's the original). I watched videos, but I'm hesitant to just start breaking off roots or crowns. Ideas? Tips?

Wait until they have finished the bloom cycle.
You should do it with moistened soil, I do it a day after watering. It takes gentle manipulation of the roots to carefully work them apart. Gently work from the base of the plants down into the rootball, carefully separating them. Keep as much of the roots intact as you can. Water them with diluted plant food once they are in new pots. Put each one in a bag for about 1-2 weeks. It may feel intimidating, but there are many videos in Y Tube.
