Great job Alan , I lost my outsunnypolytunnel last year but was my fault bear In mind it was June and it was blown over a 6ft fence down the street , thankfully no damage done but an expensive lesson learnt for me lol , so great advice given , keep up the good work 👍
Hi Alan im sure you will get it sorted mate, you've done an amazing job so far. Glad your health is better and thanks for the mention.😁👌👍
You have done great resurrecting the polytunnel Alan, really useful as many would just give up. 👍
great job, I was thinking about strengthening my 3x2m cheap polytunnel 👍
😂 what’s cheaper and easier, not very Scottish of you chucking money away 😂😂. All coming along though and if that bloody wind would just calm down. Glad you’re back to updating us again 👍, Ali 🌦️🇨🇦
Just found you. Fascinated to see how you fix the polytunnel. I live in a high wind area in New Zealand, most years have multiple 100 kmh winds and we've known up to 160 kmh. I use cheap cargo straps and ropes running over the top of the polythene to help prevent severe flapping and reduce the risk of disaster. Is your repair an opportunity to use the new wooden splints to introduce guttering and catch water, or to suspend a floating shelf or attach tomato strings etc.? Looking good though.
Hi Alan, didn't watch this one with your intro, black screen and starting half way through a sentence and then the screen when all funny, go back to your old one …….😂. What a difference a bit of timber makes to recycle your frame. I spent £300 raising mine and what a lovely place I created to work in.
🌱Happy gardening, Terry King.
Hi Alan, amother great update, your polytunnel has taken a battering. Look forward to seeing it your repair work and covered in new plastic. I have a first tunbeks polytunnel, bought it 3 years ago. Like your site, pir is very windy, and it's still standing. it's fantastic quality. The only downside is that the birds have danced all over it, and i have the tape to keep patching up the holes from their feet. Your repair work is very solid. Thanks for sharing and take care 😊
This is so helpful to me as me n my lads are soon to put up our 1st tunnel so I'm going to implement these while putting it up. I'd rather put it up right and reinforce it as we go rather than have it collapse on me after our 1st season. Thanks Alan its a huge help😊
brilliant job on the tunnel alan, i,ve just used the same lath,s as framing on three new double rabbit hutches and an archway and trellis on my plot 👌👍
