I just bought this thinking it would be great for my yucca, ya know astetically. As the newbie I am I didn't think about the depth of the pot. I want the Yucca to grow optimally.
I’d say it depends on how much space is left over in that pot once you account for the roots. If it’s got room to grow, but isn’t swimming, then it’s perfect. Too cramped or too much space are the pot problems to avoid.

Yuccas like their roots to dry out one hundred percent in between watering. So small planter is good.

Yucca love to be tight. The last time I repotted my yucca, I had to take a hammer to the pot to get it out. It’s fine as long as the water can drain.
