Last year I saw some beautiful, colourful slightly grassy looking flowers in pots outside someones house, and at the time I was able to ID the plant. I cant for the life of me remember what it is and when i try searching for it all Im getting is celosia! It was much finer and slightly fluffier (i think?) than celosia, more like a small grass? I cant remember that well but any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
Also i remember going to multiple garden centres and they didnt have the seeds so maybe its a little bit more of a rare one?

I think it was much thinner and sparser celosia, with a longer visual stem. Again this could be v foggy memory!!

  2. The second picture is pink/purple pampas grass I think

  3. Astilbe for the first one. Depending on how tall the second one is, it’s either a type of celosia (the bunny tail variety, not cocks comb) or pampas grass… pampas isn’t normally that pink in real life though.

There’s also “bunny tail” grass, but I’ve only
    Seen it in white.

Second is pampas grass and is a weed. Can have several thousand flower heads per stalk iirc
