I read an article by Hyn Patty, I may have shared it here before.

Couple of weeks ago, I was using keiki paste on an orchid when I remembered this article. I went up to Storm Watch and did it, because I wanted to see what pups growing on bloomstalks would look like. It seems insane.

Forgot allllll about it. Tonight, I have my hurt right arm in a sling, walking around my violet room, preening. I jumped when I saw this stalk (first pic).
How absolutely cool is this?!?! Thanks Hyn Patty, again! I love her brain.

She also explains very well the technique of rooting bloomstalks. I already did that, and it's pretty great! Except you have to sacrifice a flower for it. I included pics of some I prepped tonight.

TLDR: Keiki paste + trimmed bloomstalk = pups!

Wow that’s incredible! I knew that propping bloom stalks is a great way to isolate genetics when you get a sport and such, but it’s such a pain. This seems like much a better way to go about it! I love seeing this, definitely going to try it asap!!
