Slowly getting brown and droopy with time.

Water about once a week (sometimes less). Live in Seattle. Windows are drafty. This is our sunniest window spot, facing West.

  1. Needs so much more water. My roommate waters hers every couple of days.

  2. This looks like a fern
They are water loving and usually want consistent moisture in the soil
Lighting is probably too much on that window and with the lack of the needed extra water it is scorching it more

Water, humidity dome, & say I love you ever day

Will add they hate drafts. I have mine in a humidified room and they still look crappy

Ferns are great for the bathroom if you have a window in there. Think rain forest, moist, humid, Jurassic park even.

My mom keeps her ferns in her bathroom with a grow light on them. They love the humidity, and they’re easy to water in there.

    Trim of all the crisps
Keep constantly moist – ie don’t let dry out
Could place it on a tray of pebbles which you keep wet- but make sure the plant itself isn’t sitting in the water unless it’s in a cache pot without holes
Maybe it’s too hot/bright where it is, they could do with dappled shade really
I’d suggest you might need to water more often but always check before watering to avoid overwatering- if soil is wet leave it (wet is more than moist!)

Ferns naturally die back in winter. Just cut the dead off. and they normally grow in shaded forest. Direct sunlight-bad.

Ferns like high humidity, soil that’s always slightly damp but never water logged, indirect light and no drafts

Remove from direct sunlight ,give it some more soil for christs sake
