My monstera was doing great for the past 2 years. In the past 6 months, it started losing leaves (6 so far). Always the same yellowing and scorching. Is this due to a bug of some sort? Or does this look like a watering issue (I’m still watering infrequently until topsoil is dry). I moved it once outdoors for a night (6 months ago), but besides that I sits near a south facing window. Thanks for your help.

    What are those wet patches on the leaf in the first picture?

    I’m not sure what you mean by this;

    How do you water it? (Bottom watering, let it soak, in the tub/sink, watering can, left over glasses of water etc)? Do you fertilize it at all? Does the pot have drainage?

    And importantly when was the last time it was repotted?

    My guess would be it hasn’t been repotted in a few years and that pot is probably mainly roots. If you’re only watering it a small amount infrequently (vs letting it get completely saturated infrequently) it’s probably not getting nearly enough water.
