Hello
I got this house (in southern Nashville, TN zone 7b if I’m correct) with new sod last years around mid summer, when I finally moved in the lawn was full of crabgrass, i didn’t have the time or the resources at the moment to start caring for my lawn besides mowing it, now I need a plan or project to make it look as decent as possible. English isn’t my first language so when I read some things like “ apply 2,4,b etc” I really don’t understand and get even more lost, also most information online is English so I’m asking if someone is patient enough to explain it like I’m 5. Here are some pictures taken today with my lawn full of clover and some other type of weed specifically close to the concrete. Also some things I was given by a friend last fall to apply around this time of the year (crabgrass preventer with lawn food made by Scott’s and spectracide weed stop for lawns). Also I saw all of the other Scott products at Costco today and wondered if any of those would have a positive in the impacta of my lawn.

Go to Lowes/Home Depot etc.. Look for two products; Ortho Weed Killer, AND Ortho Weed Killer for Oxalis/Clover… This will cover a large majority of most common weeds in your grass. Clover included…They can connect to your hose, and you’d apply one, then wait 24 hours and spray the other. You want it all dry with no rain.
That’s the most basic it’s going to get…
You need a broadleaf killing herbicide. It’s selective and will not harm your grass when applied at the correct rate.
That Spectracide has 2-4-D, and it will kill the leafed things, like the clovers, and that other other weed plant from your pic.
T-Zone will knock that out
Clover is a nitrogen fixer and supports pollinators. Many people plant it mixed with grass.
T-Zone, tenacity. These two products will help fix/prevent your weed issues. Read the labels before using.
