This yard was putting KIDS IN DANGER – Now they can SAFELY play outside again

I came across this house that had a ramp to the front door, boarded up windows, and a lawn that looked like it hadn’t been cut since last year so I knocked on the door but got no answer. Luckily, the next door neighbor saw me over there and came out to talk. She told me a good friend of her used to live here but it’s a city owned house and they are trying to liquidate all of their homes. So they made their tenants vacate, they boarded up the windows, and the homes have been sitting for a while. The next door neighbor runs a daycare at her home and the overgrown yard has been a great place for snakes and spiders to live in. She’s been scared to let the kids play outside because of that so I thought I would go ahead and get it cleaned up not only for her but for the entire neighborhood.

    Looks good! 👍 Don t forget about the trash left in the yard that the mower didn t mulched up. Maybe pick trash up first then mow.

    The city that was so keen on selling the home and making the occupant move out so it could be sold should reimburse you for the excellent work you did. The city would have someone out there to fine the occupant because of the overgrowth yet nobody hold them to the same standard. So sad. Thank you, Spencer, for the great job.

    The daycare lady should mix up some really potent peppermint essential oil in a spray bottle and spray the play items with it. I believe that will discourage spiders if not snakes.
