First time startimg seed under a grow light, everything looks happy but my 2 rows of tomatoes Sun Gold and Black Krim. Should I restart and not do grow light? ONTARIO 6A

  1. I don’t think they are burning, they look fine to me. Tomatoes usually love full sun, I doubt a grow light would be powerful enough to burn them unless it was literally touching them.

    I hope to find out too. This was happening with a few of my seedlings. I moved them into larger pots and they’re doing better.

    My guess is not enough nutrients in the seedling mix + water-logged feet was keeping them from getting green. But someone more knowledgeable would be able to confirm.

    I think it’s just because the squash/cucumber seedlings are so big and deep green. It makes the tomatoes appear malnourished, in fact they look fine. Your seedlings have zero etiolation. They’re growing good.
