Lived at this place for a couple years now, have successfully maintained the life of this tree until now. Not sure why it’s struggling so hard. It lives in the ground, no pot, and water it 1-2 times a week (2-4 in the summer). Also this is Houston, Tx. Gets direct sunlight for about 6ish hours/day.

Anyone know what kind it is, and maybe why it’s dying?

It’s an evergreen and by the looks of it, it got winter burn. Winter burn is common in evergreen plants.

It’s either a Spartan or Hollywood juniper. Looks like a bad case of Spider mites!
