Antiques dealer and interior designer Adam Bray welcomes _House & Garden_ into his Maida Vale flat. Adam shows us around his London home, located a stones throw away from the iconic Abbey Road.

_Withnail and I_ is the primary source of interior inspiration, Adam jokingly admits. “The fireplace does all of the heavy lifting,” says Bray. “You need a good solid architectural element and you can get away with murder—as you can see.” Watch the full episode of Design Notes, as we tour Adam Bray’s charming London home.

    Nothing like mixing with new (mid century modern). A home that is lived in and not obviously designed. I’ve been telling people this for years and some used and worn items are just fine. Bravo!

    I stopped watching interiors videos because they all seemed so pretentious and over the top. I'm so glad this popped up on my feed today – this is the kind of interior I'm interested in – lived in, and layered with the detritus of life, but still aesthetic and beautiful.     Please please feature more people like this. Humour, a genuinely evolved sense of style and stories behind the bits and pieces. So many of your great films are rich people who have simply bought their style. Or they’re a bored spouse of a banker pretending buying stuff makes them an interior designer. This chap is fab, it’s a real home with wit and flavour in abundance. Tbh you guys are way better than AD which is mainly bland celebs parroting Pretentious or vapid stuff “chairs really matter to me” that their interior designer convinced them was the clients idea. Then it just ends up looking like another luxe hotel. This guy is great. The super rich always have crap taste, it’s the people who truly use imagination and invention to get around not being able to buy anything you want. Love this guy and his place
