Hi everyone! I found this plant outside my apartment complex because someone who moved out left it for someone to take. I have no clue what it is and google is giving me conflicting information. I currently have it inside but maybe it needs to be outside? It had a “free house plant” note taped to it when I found it so I assumed it can stay inside but not sure. The original planter doesn’t have a tag or sticker on it about what it could be.
Does it need a new planter? Should it be outside? Is there anything I can do to keep it alive? I’ve been watering it occasionally but it looks like it’s dying and I want to revive her! Pls help!

Bird of Paradise is a tropical girl who loves a lot of light. You can keep her indoors, but you’ll have to get a special light to be sure she’s getting what she needs. They are very used to tropical, so don’t put her outside if you are living somewhere cold or where the weather is changing a lot.

To help the leaf unfurl wrap a warm, moist towel around it. It should immediately unfurl
Bird of paradise loves sun!! I recommend replanting and move for better lighting
