I’ve had this bird of paradise since 2018 when it was quite small. It has 4 plants in one pot and we have repotted it a few times. It lives in a plastic liner with drainage and is propped up above the bottom of the decorative pot it’s in. We water it about 1x per week but I’m not sure it’s getting enough. The decorative pot has a plug on the bottom but I haven’t figured out an easy way to drain it if I overwater so I suspect we are under watering. There is a plant light above it and it sits between two NW facing windows. Ten feet the left of it is are two SW facing windows. It’s moved house with me and has struggled off and on since. It has been infested with scale for several years and I’ve never been able to get rid of them. It has recently become very droopy and I’ve fashioned some support out of string for it. This plant has been through a lot with me and I’m stressed thinking I might be slowly killing it. What do I do to make it happy?
