Purchased the two air plants on the left 2 years ago (take home day on pic 2). Side note small pup did not survive). A month or so after take home, both bloomed with 2 flowers each (pic 3). I took a paintbrush and transferred the pollen to the stigma(white part) ensuring it was completely yellow after transfer. A few months after pollen transfer, the first pup started growing (pic 4). Two years later, with no additional blooms, I’ve had two pups from each original plant. One of them has started another teeny tiny pup (pic 5).
I’ve read that some air plants species die after producing pups. Will these die soon? How many pups do each produce?
Thank you!

Ionantha mother plant will eventually die after producing a pup or two. I’ve had a few for about 3 years now and they are still somewhat green but are fading more and more. Typically after they flower the pup will eventually come soon after just like your pictures. It varies but you can expect 1-3 pups. Nice little family you got there!
