I acquired this plant in June and it has never looked good. I recently moved it to a new room and it still wilts. I read that when the leaves are wilted that it means it needs water. So I watered it yesterday and it still looks sad. How can I get these to perk up and encourage growth? Should I re-pot it?

The pot is waaaay to big
Smaller pot for sure, perhaps try a chunkier soil mix, and if you tend to have a heavy watering hand maybe consider a terracotta pot. You using a liquid fertilizer with your water, and do you leave the water out for hours before watering? My suggestions, but I’m no plant guru.
Need a smaller pot, the pot size should be based on the root ball. I disagree about chunky potting soil and terra cotta for peace lilies, they like their soil to stay damp. I have mine in a mix of Fox Farm Happy Frog potting soil mixed with some perlite in a nursery pot.
If you’re worried about overwatering, you can get a moisture meter for $10 or so online and water when the meter gets close to “dry”.
