Absolutely! Way better than lawn tractor & a lot more fun.

I’d get one of the smaller commercial walk behinds with a sulky.

  4. Time for a bad boy mower with a v twin engine! 😎🤘

  5. Pangean-trash-panda

Everything requires a zero turn mower

  6. Ricka77_New

Hell yeah. I have a 42″ deck for my yard and it’s smaller than that..

Yeah, they are the most capable mowing machine out there for residential and small commercial properties.

Well, it warrants more frequent watering that’s for sure. Don’t lose that sod.

  9. I have 1/2 acres and thought it was a great investment for me. My neighbor is on 1/5 acre and liked mine so much he also got one. Dude is done mowing & cleaning up in 20 minutes or less. That said, go for it!

I’d say there is no way to mow this without one. If you try any other mower, it will blow up or the blades will come off and go flying through the air, which is obviously a safety issue. So, do it for the community and keep everyone safe, get that zero turn.

If you want one- then yes! Also, do you have garage/shed storage space for one? Obviously not a strict necessity but it’s nice to keep one under some form of shelter.

  12. Zero turns are superior for anything cutting related to my opinion.

Make sure it roots first or you’ll be wishing you didn’t spend that money on a 20k mower.

  14. That depends if you’re doing it cause you enjoy it or because you have to.

I like to push my own lawn cause it’s sun and exercise.

If you’re pressed for time as is then ride that bitch.

Like others have eluded too. If you can afford it, and time is important to you, then get one. A regular riding mower is more practical though.

If you want it and can afford it, you don’t need an excuse to get it.

  17. Icy_River6319

Just do it. I didn’t NEED one but am happy I bought one. It’s fun to mow now. And! If it’s not being used, you sell it.

  18. You could post a picture of an apartment on this subreddit and we would still tell you to get a zero turn

Make sure you get the striping equipment for it as well, you’ll never go back to the other

I have a little under an acre and I have one. Makes a small part of life that much easier.

Bout a week to a week and a half in ideal conditions.

It’ll need about 2 to 4 tenths of an inch of water throughout the day for 2 weeks to help it establish. Then normal watering daily. Don’t water all at once. I set rotars to run 10 to 15min 5 to 6 times a day and spay heads 3 to 5 min 5 to 6 times a day for new sod. The idea is for it to not dry out, get over saturated or have the water all run off.

It’s rooted when you can’t lift it up and showing signs of growth.

No, just get a Mammotion Luba 2 and never manually mow again. Got mine last year after almost pulling the trigger on a 0-turn. Zero regrets.
