The soil was still pretty wet 2 weeks after I watered it, and it sits under a grow light for 14 hours daily so I decided to check the roots. Can I save it if the rhizomes are mostly rotted?ðŸ˜
Remove the rotten ones, let it dry and put in back in dry soil

Are those rhizomes actually rotting? The roots definitely look healthy. The rhizomes look a little slimy but I’m only seeing one rhizome look actually questionable.
With that said, “cleaning” the roots like this is really damaging to a plant’s root hairs and no matter what you do this plant is going to ride the struggle bus for awhile, but I think this is totally salvageable. Just pot it up on something snug and water less frequently maybe.
In the future if you’re worried about your soil staying too wet, it’s better to plop your pot on a heat mat vs. uprooting the plant.
