  1. I had 2 different peace lily’s that ended up sad and drooping like this no matter what I did. My sister in law said they need a lot of light, but I just stopped buying peace lily’s because they do not like me.

Mine did this when it didn’t get enough light and when it was too cold. Mine haaaaaaated drafts. It would droop like this with too much cross breeze.

I would put him closer to sunlight, bright indirect typically means like a foot away from the window. I would get a low light plant if you want it that far from light

Also, I’m not sure how much you water, but I bottom water and leave him for 45minutes every 5 days.

What is the drainage situation, I also think your pot is on the small side, my suggestion is repot to a larger pot with great drainage and fresh potting mix.

My Peace Lily looked the same way. I ended up putting it in a large plastic pot to water thoroughly, then forgot about outdoors last spring.

It was rained on steadily for a few days, to the point where its pot was nearly submerged in water. It could not have been happier. So now, I keep it sitting in water in that same pot, indoors, while we wait for warmer days. When they arrive, the whole set up will go back outside, under a tree.

Is the pot inside the decorative pot terra cotta or plastic that’s terra cotta colored? I do not recommend terra cotta for peace lilies because they are thirsty bitches, and terra cotta keeps the soil dryer. If it’s just a plastic pot, all is well!

It probably does just need more light as others suggested. Mine are in my north / west facing dining room. They don’t get any direct sunlight from the north window. One gets a little direct sun in the late afternoon (west facing window). But the room has indirect light all day.

Lighting can be vague so here’s my cheat sheet: direct sun = sun beams on the leaves.
Indirect sun = the leaves can see the sky but the sun doesn’t touch them

Peace lily’s hate me too… light and humidity. My home is too dry for them

Be sure to really give them a good soak when watering. Let the excess drain into a saucer, and wait 30 min to an hour for it to soak before you empty the excess water.

  9. Repot! But peace Lillie’s are a pain because of this.

I’ve recently learned peace lilys are very finicky lol I was gifted a large one and this is what I’ve done:

    – Moved her to my bathroom that is bright with indirect light
    – Keep a water globe with her
    – Gave her a good shower soak
    – Let her sit with a humidifier

I also take off any browning leaves to encourage new growth and sometimes I give her a bit of a shake. She’s got 3 blooms coming so overall I think it’s working.

Drooping leaves usually means she’s thirsty so try with that and let her drain thoroughly.
