  1. This is GREAT! I've been building 3 picket planters (that don't sell much here) But I'm sure these will take off! Thanks!

  2. I really like the first planter, but that thing must weight a ton with all of that heavy 2x lumber. I built just a small planter out of 2×6 lumber and it weighs a ton. However, I love the watering setup.

  3. I think your first planter is a bit overkilled. If anyone is building the same thing, I would suggest to cut the board in half. You don't need the regular 1.5 inch thick board for a planter this size. If you put some side vertical support a bit more, you could probably get away with it, so it would cost half (I made basically the exact same planter, just not self watering one year ago).

You could also get hardware cloth instead of the bottom boards. It works perfectly fine, and if you put some anti-weed material on the bottom to prevent any earth to fall through the hardware cloth, it's perfectly fine. You can even skip the antiweed i think, there are multiple DIY planters who skip it. I don't have opinion on the rest

  4. Long time sub here, but I am getting tired of these complication videos vs making something new.
Suggestion: make floating shelfs for a bar / hold alcohol bottles, trim so the bottles don't accidentenly slide off the edges and of course a groove under each shelf to hold led strip. Thank you.

  5. Thank you for the video. It does make it look like something I could do but the price is a no-go for me.. I bet you'd sell much more if you'd price way lower.. With huge respect to everything you put into the plans, the price tag is not attractive to casual enthusiasts like myself, amid ChatGPT alike times.. I wouldn't mind paying a couple of bucks just to download it, but $45 is a no-go by a lot.. Disclaimer: I could be wrong.. Good luck! Thanks again
