Shes a beaut, super healthy & about 8 feet tall and is taking up half my guest bedroom.

The pot is worth money! I will start at $50

What’s it like living with a 9′ long arm?

There is probably a big difference between how much it’s worth and what you’ll actually get for it locally. I’d say it’s actually worth a couple hundred maybe. But the size, difficulty moving, and local demand are probably going to knock off about half that worth.

I grew some Birds of Paradise to a similar size and had to sell them. I put them on FB Marketplace for $50 and sold 2 for $40 ea. I wasn’t after money, I just wanted to get rid of them and get them to a place they could grow into.

That’s beautiful! You should add some fresh soil on the top to cover up those few roots showing. At least a couple hundred bucks.

I would keep and chop and prop the heck out of that and make more of a bush than thank stretchy tree. Just me though

Check Facebook marketplace, see what they’re selling for locally. Then undercut the competition if you want to sell it quick, or mark it up if you want more money and don’t mind waiting.

I would say ~$150 or more given its size, pot and it’s an established plant. I would sell it for $100 or less if I had to get rid of it quickly, like if I was moving soon

The questions is … what would someone be prepared to pay for it??

How old is it? Just let it keep growing in that room and if you ever sell your house just feature it as the Ficus room, should increase property value.

The pot is worth $ too so make sure you take specific pics of it in your listing! Where I live, on FB marketplace, I’d put it up for $200 and then someone would offer me $150 and we’d make a deal as long as they hauled it away. Gorgeous!

You need to make allowances for how awkward it will be for a buyer to move it with damaging it. Allowing for that, I’d say $100.

Honestly first thought would be to gift it to someone I knew that would appreciate it, you’ve put some effort into it that isn’t going to convert to dollars. It should be worth thousands, but I think you would get $100-200.

Making sure it goes somewhere where it will continue to grow and thrive is most important. $100 is fair.

If I absolutely had to get rid of it, I would find someone who I knew could take care of it and probably gift it to them.

Can you stake it so it’s more vertical? Sure is a beauty. I have one but it is WAY smaller.

People saying $100-200 are trying to steal this 🥲 I personally would pay $400
Edit: or more. This is beautiful plant. You could probably auction this off and particularly interested/financially well buyers may even get you higher. I’m also not a plant expert, just a plant lover, so I may be overly enthusiastic 🙃

i’d say 150-220 between that range , also how did you get her to grow so much? how often did you water her i’m having issues with my rubber plant
