It’s time for another massive harvest from our backyard garden! We haven’t needed to buy food from the grocery store the last several weeks. Everything is growing. As some plants are on their way out, I’m getting ready to put in new ones. Thank you for joining us in the harvest.

  1. Que bendición, estoy aprendiendo con ustedes, espero ver algún día cosechar de la misma manera, saludos 🫶🏼

  2. You seem to be having the same tomato problem I'm having.
It's called yellow or green shoulder and it's caused by wrong soil PH and or low Potassium. 😖

And on your carrots it looks like wire worm (click beetle). Had those in a couple of my potato containers.

  3. Just got my fall crops in. 5 broc rabe, 5 romanesco caul, 4 orange caul, 4 purple (had to have o's and ravens in the garden!), 4 normal beoc and purple, china. And king cabbage. Tore out all the spring stuff with it. Sick of eating thst crap. Oh got a few melons plants ans aboit 10 more cucumbers since they ate all gone now

  4. I love watching you guys harvesting food from your own store. Please encourage your neighbors to do the same hunger will disappear if we all grow some food. I'm my area everyone is doing a garden I want everyone to have home grown food. I'm starting a food movement campaign, fruit trees as well❤💪👍

  5. I noticed you said your family don't eat potatoes. Have you tried Purple Top Turnips. They cook like potatoes. Personally I think they taste better. They are better for you. And they only take 60 days to grow.
    Have a great day.

  6. If you have a wire worm problem, try a cover crop of buck wheat or mustard. As they start to bloom chop up the plants and work into the soil. Don't let them come to full bloom , if they go to seed you will fight them coming up again.
I also work the soil in the fall just before the ground freezes, exposing the worms.
Have only had the problem one year and the above treatment did the job.
Fabulous garden you folks have. Don't let up on growing your own food.

  7. Your yellow tomatoes will survive if you cut off the old leaves and you put some branches on it and tie it up so the tomato plants will stand up to avoid fungal diseases❤ 16:04

  8. Ever tried banana sweet peppers? I get a large amount from them. I like to put them in salads and on top of pita bread with cheese and some tomatoes. I bake them and have a "pizza", sorta of.

  9. One last thought and I won't bother you anymore. My wife of 47 years is from the Philippines where were married. Anyway, I have been back several times. My wife likes sweet potatoes because the part of Luzon where she lives growing regular potatoes does not work. Thus sweet potatoes instead. I being a Nebraska boy I like regular boiling potatoes, Norland, kennebeck, and a russet type gold rush. So she grows sweet and I grow regular potatoes. Thus peace. (I still hate sweet potatoes).

  10. Need to tell U tomatoes as they are turning U need to take them off and put them on your self in the kitchen near a window then it gets ripe…

    Never seen worms in carrots…

Why don't U eat Potatoes is it a religion U can buy Purple ones which are very good for U…

Also carrot tops U can make pesto with them as I had a friend he made pesto with keli…

Kali chips are great to eat a little oil and garlic spray over the leave oven then for a few seconds delicious…yummee…😂😂😂

Also water Tomatoes only in the morning and make shore leaves don't touch the soil as U get bug damage…

Also U need to put a piece of carbord under watermelon or straw…

Shouldn't U put nets under you butternut pumpkins so they don't brake off early…u guys need a gardening book…for the learners…😢😢

  11. Wow!! In which zone you are located. I am in 8B in Texas and grow lot of vegetables. I love other gardeners who have similar passion as mine. Thank you for sharing the video and giving us the tour. Happy gardening!

  12. Why did you decide to plant some things in beds and others directly in the ground? Also how did you decide which ones to plant in the ground?

  13. A ground hog ate my cucumbers and romaine lettuce! I was crushed but we found a tent on Amazon that covers the cucumbers and now they are growing again!

  14. I am sure you realize that you do not have to wait until all or most of your toomatoes are ripeto harvest. You can harest when blushing and placein a paper bag. They wikl ripen in about two to three days indoors. Then you will not lose so many.

  15. I am new to your channel so I don’t know a lot about you yet but do you do recipes and how you cook and freeze some of your vegetables??

  16. Im certain the soil in the states/Canada must have some sort of magic mixture or something because here in Australia there ain’t no way we could grow all that variety at the same time in such abundance I’ve never seen anyone’s garden even those with the green thumb grow the variety you guys can grow up there btw you have a gorgeous garden 😍

  17. Some problems and few decisions but as usual, good harvest! I am happy for you. It is always good to eat fresh from the garden.
