I just thought it was really cool looking, and almost tropical or ancient in appearance, at least to me who knows next to nothing about plants. They are planted all around my local arboretum. What makes the leaves pattern like the last two pictures?

Toadshade Trillium
Some kind of trillium…
Trillium
Just found some of this popping up in my back yard. I planted a random selection of bare root trillium last fall. I didn’t expect the camo leaves!
They’re supposed to be protected in Indiana, there are white flowered ones too!
Beautiful trilliums. They’re spring ephemerals, meaning they only come up for a short time in the spring. And it takes them years to grow large enough that they even flower. These are gorgeous.
Some kind of *Trillium*, but the flower shape is not right for toadshade or prairie trillium. There are several similar species with red flowers. If you provide your general location, we might be able to narrow it down some more.
Ooh, time to go up to the botanical garden!
Did anyone else call these bloody noses? No clue who told me that as a kid, picked lots of little bouquets of them growing up.
Trillium! I love how they all have three of everything.
I believe it is Trillium chloropetalum, Giant Trillium / Giant Wakerobin.
A native plant 🥰🥰🥰
Trillium.
