Hi all!
I was about to water my orchid and just noticed what looks like a little white bug on a leaf. It gets indirect sunlight. Not sure what it is or how to go about getting rid of it besides directly killing it. Is this a sign of an infestation on my orchid? If it is how do I safely preserve the plant while getting rid of the bugs if there’s more?

Oh god it’s mealy bugs. I hate those fuckers. Kill them quick.
Someone else posted about how to do it with orchids. I normally resort to systemic insecticide but that may kill an orchid.
!mealybugs
Get rubbing alcohol on a cotton swab or q-tip and wipe them off. Make sure to get in evey nook and cranny. Repeat once a week for a month. Keep away from any other plant.
Hiss at the mealy bugs. Easier to treat than some other pests, but still such a nuisance.
Isopropyl alcohol, manual removal, insecticides… there are a few options. But treat quickly and check all other plants.
Sending sympathy and patience!
