I've been (somewhat unsuccessfully) nursing this variegated geranium for about 2 years. No blooms, sparse leaves, etc. I decided to just ignore it and let it convalesce in my laundry room.
I just returned from vacation, and it's growing one tall single stem and one flower, growing towards the window. I've never seen this before from a geranium!

I don’t think I’ve ever seen something so desperate for the light before. I’m guessing you have already had it in a higher light location already, and it wasn’t thriving?
I have a wonky Geranium too!!
