For Ben…when I was a girl, I would let the wild onions grow tall and go to seed. Then I'd cut them close to the ground. We had a big willow tree. I wove the onions through some low branches of the tree to make a chair in the tree. You can also weave them into baskets

Oh Jess! I'm so glad you are taking the time to savor these precious moments! My youngest is also a Benjamin … and he's about to turn 14. We've been watching you and your Ben since he was teeny tiny. My Ben loves watching with me and he has slowly learned to love the garden and chickens … but I'm a little wary that these teenage years are gonna draw him away. He still gives me a kiss on the cheek every night though and I'll take as many as i can get!
