I bought these 2 plants and have been recently trying to take care of them. Show them sunlight once or twice a week and water them occasionally whenever the soil seems dry. I am just not sure if it needs anything else and am I doing it right?

i would probably give them both more sun than that, like a south window or a grow light for plants
the snake plant is a succulent which means the soil should only be watered when its completely dry

I’d like to know where this whole “move it into sun twice a week” advice came from? Some 20yo influencer? This is the 2nd time I’ve seen this. No offense to you, OP, but that goes against the very basics of horticulture.

Do you see plants in the wild moving around to find sun? Houseplants should be provided with as close to their natural environment as possible. Additionally, a plant needs steady, predicable resources so that it can manage them accordingly. Random bursts of sun in days-long intervals isn’t it. Yes, in nature, there are cloudy days but there is still ambient light.

Put it somewhere where it can get its light requirements and leave it there, unless it’s going outside in the spring and inside in the fall. Moving plants stresses them. If your home can’t provide the light naturally, get a grow lamp, not random sunbathing sessions.

Whomever is giving this advice needs their plant credentials revoked.
