Today, this custom has been reimagined into the modern “Takanawa 26 Nights” experience, where over 400 bamboo lanterns shimmer in a Japanese garden. This winter, the dome-shaped bamboo lantern tree—which first debuted in the garden last year—is enhanced by Finland’s traditional handicraft, the “Hinnmeri,” a token believed to bring good luck, creating an even more dazzling winter spectacle.
